COLCHESTER, Ill. - Melvin R. Williams, 73, of Colchester, Ill., Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2003, at Sunset Manor Health Care in Canton, Ill. Cremation rites have been accorded, with private graveside services to be held at a later date at Mt. Auburn Cemetery in Illinois. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Alzheimer's Disease Center.
Melvin was born on Dec. 10, 1929, in Ellis Township in Hardin County to Ellis and Vera (Huffman) Williams. On Dec. 27, 1985, he was united in marriage to Dorothy J. Ryan at Macomb, Ill.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy, of Colchester.
Jones' Mortuary of Colchester is in charge of arrangements.
