LATIMER - Carl Jerome Keepf, 63, of Latimer died Saturday, Sept. 20, 2003, at Franklin General Hospital in Hampton. A memorial graveside service will be Thursday, Sept. 25, at 10:30 a.m. at the Lindenwood Cemetery, rural Geneva, with Rev. Jeff Long officiating. There will be no visitation.
Carl was born April 8, 1940, at Hampton to Fred and Lucy (Thompson) Keepf. He graduated from Hampton High School and went on to graduate from the Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, Ariz., with a bachelor of science degree in forestry. Carl served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He worked with forest products his entire life, and was employed by Kaibab Lumber, Georgia Pacific and H. Carl Mason. Watercolor painting, bird watching, traveling and studying family genealogy were among his favorites.
Survivors include his daughter, Lea Keepf of Phoenix, Ariz.; one stepdaughter, Brenda Allison of Casper, Wyo.; a sister, Janice Pralle and husband Leon of Latimer; and four nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Sietsema-Vogel Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
