HUBBARD - Brandon Kyle Gelhaus, 22, of Hubbard died Thursday, July 24, 2003, at his home south of Hubbard. The funeral service was Monday, July 28, at Zion United Church of Christ, Hubbard with burial in the Tipton Grove Cemetery, rural Hubbard. Rev. John Attaway officiated.
Brandon was born August 1, 1980, in Marshalltown to Dennis and Dawn (Peters) Gelhaus. He was baptized and confirmed into the Zion United Church of Christ in Hubbard, where he remained a lifelong member. After graduation from Hubbard-Radcliffe High School in 1999, he worked for Central Iowa Powder Coating in Radcliffe. For the past three years Brandon was employed by Vierkandt Trucking of Alden.
He enjoyed camping, trail riding, farming and spending time with his family and friends.
His survivors include his parents, Denny and Dawn of Hubbard; one sister, Brodi of Hubbard; his grandparents, Marlyn and Wilma Peters of Eldora and Gilbert and Margaret Gelhaus of Hubbard; one great-grandmother, Janet Williams of Eldora; and numerous relatives and friends. Brandon was preceded in death by his uncle, Jeff Peters.
Boeke Funeral Home of Hubbard was in charge of arrangements.
