ALDEN - Evelyn J. Fenton, 81, of Alden, died Friday, July 25, 2003, at the Hubbard Care Center in Hubbard. Funeral services were held Monday, July 28, St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Alden, with burial in the Alden Cemetery. Rev. Jay Jaeger officiated.

Evelyn was born on June 18,1922 to Claude and Mable (Kline) Ladd. She married Albert Fenton on Jan. 8, 1947, in Iowa Falls. Evelyn was a homemaker and a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Alden where she was previously active in Ladies Aide.

Survivors include three sons, Ronnie, of Modesto Calif., Calvin, and his wife Janet, of Alden, and Mike, and his wife Joan, of Rochester Minn.; two daughters, Shari, and her husband Mike King, of Ames and Marsha, and her husband Alan Morris, of Zearing; two step-sons, Leroy, and his wife Deloris, of Des Moines, and Harold Dean of Lake Bay, Wash.; a step-daughter, Mary Nehring of Dows; 12 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; several step great-grandchildren; three sisters, Vivian McEwan of Alden, Dorothy Perisho of Zearing, and Thelma Widdel of Chester, Va.; and one brother, Robert Ladd, of Neilsville, Wis. Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a step-son, Richard; and a step-sister, Glenda Walden.
