AMESÐJonathan Henry Schutt, 30, of Ames, formerly of Alden, died Sunday, Dec. 8, 2002, following a bicycle-train accident in Ames. Services will be held Wednesday, Dec. 11, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Alden with burial in Evergreen Cemetery at Lohrville. Rev. Jay Jaeger and Rev. Mark Heilman will officiate.

Jonathan was born Jan. 20, 1972, in Iowa Falls to William and Sally Schoop Schutt. He graduated from Alden High School in 1991 and never married. He worked in food service at the Hickory Park Restaurant in Ames. He enjoyed fishing, the outdoors, cribbage, wrestling and the Iowa Hawkeyes. His nieces and nephews were very special to him.

He is survived by his mother, Sally, of Alden; five brothers, Clinton and wife Janet of Alden and family Matthew, Travis, Brooke and Ashley; Kendall and wife Janell of Alden and son Zachary; Clayton and wife Michelle and daughter Gwendolyn of St. Cloud, Minn.; Nathan of Waterloo; and Aaron of Lohrville; four sisters, Carmen Hood and husband Mark of Lohrville and family Stephanie, Jennifer and Audrey; Karla Isaacson and husband Paul of Alden; Emily Schutt of Grinnell; and Megan Schutt of Ames. He was preceded in death by his father; his grandparents and a brother, Gregory.

Surls Funeral Home of Iowa Falls is in charge of arrangements.
