ALDEN-Eula Marjorie Akers, 81, of Alden died Friday, Dec. 6, 2002, at Ellsworth Municipal Hospital in Iowa Falls. Services were held Monday, Dec. 9, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Alden with burial in the Alden Cemetery. Rev. Jay Jaeger officiated.
Eula was born Sept. 16, 1921, in Buckeye to Joseph and Eula Pitchford Bingham. She attended Buckeye country schools and on Oct. 11, 1939, she married Woodrow Akers at the Methodist parsonage in Alden. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Alden. Eula enjoyed bowling and camping.
She is survived by a son, Larry, and wife Jan of Syracuse, Neb.; a daughter, Judy Bouillon, and husband Merlin of Iowa Falls; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Edna Bingham, of Alden. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Woody; a grandson, Billy; one brother and three sisters.
Surls Funeral Home of Alden was in charge of arrangements.
