ACKLEY-Tena Siebenga, 84, of Ackley, died Sunday, Aug. 19, 2001, at Allen Memorial Hospital in Waterloo. Services will be Wednesday, Aug. 22, at 1 p.m. at the Austinville Christian Reformed Church with burial in the Austinville Cemetery. Rev. Potts will officiate. Visitation will be Tuesday from 3-8 p.m. at the Sietsema Funeral Home in Ackley.

Tena was born Sept. 26, 1916, in Woden, to John and Johana Siebenga Kuperus. She attended school in Pease, Minn. On Feb. 15, 1939, she married John Siebenga in Louisville, Ky. She worked at the Presbyterian Home in Ackley for many years and helped her husband with custodial duties at the Christian Reformed Church, where she was a member.

She is survived by foster daughters, Sarah Allen and her husband, John, of Belle Plaine, Minn., Teri Chandler and her husband, William, of Cedar Falls; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; four sisters, Gert Ubben, of Austinville, Julia Janssen, of Ackley, Grace Ubben of Aplington, and Myrna Eiten of Wellsburg; two brothers, Sam Kuperus of Parkersburg, and Frank Kuperus of Pease, Minn. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John; an infant daughter; two sisters, Minnie Van Dahen and Leane Stubbe; and one brother, John Kuperus.
