IOWA FALLS - Ellen R. Kusserow, 89, of Iowa Falls died Thursday, Jan. 29, 2004, at Ellsworth Municipal Hospital in Iowa Falls. Funeral services were Tuesday, Feb. 3, at Linn's Funeral Homes, Iowa Falls Chapel with Rev. Bob Miller officiating. Burial was at Hazelgreen Cemetery in Ackley.
Ellen was born Nov. 19, 1914, to Forrest and Cora (Oehlert) Older. She attended country schools in Duluth, Minn., and Chapin. Ellen was united in marriage to Maynard Kusserow. The couple farmed and after moving to Eldora, Ellen worked at Quakerdale and was a house cleaner. She retired to Iowa Falls several years ago.
Survivors include two grandchildren, Christine Cross and husband Marlyn of Iowa Falls and Scott Kusserow and wife Marsha of Steamboat Rock; a daughter-in-law, Shirley Kusserow of Iowa Falls; five great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband; a son, Forrest; an infant daughter, Bernice Ann; a grandson, Craig Kusserow; a brother, Alva; and two sisters, Lucille Kammeier and Dorothy Allen.
