IOWA FALLS- Donald H. Cormaney, 77, of Iowa Falls, formerly of Mason City, died of cancer at his home on Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2001. Services were held Friday, Aug. 10, at the First United Methodist Church with burial in Union Cemetery, both in Iowa Falls. Rev. Rhoda Preston officiated.

Donald was born Sept. 19, 1923, in Woolstock, to Earl and Anna Maria Schultz Cormaney. He served in the United States Army in 1945-46, and on Feb. 22, 1949, he married Barbara Huffman in Iowa Falls. He was a farmer and a member of the Elliott-Keninger American Legion Post No. 252, Ackley. Don enjoyed gardening and fishing in Minnesota and Canada.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara, of Iowa Falls; three daughters, Chelle Boekholder and Cynthia Abbot, both of Iowa Falls and Susan Ites and husband, Al, of Ankeny; a son, Craig Cormaney and wife, Mary, of Lincoln; 10 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two brothers, Melvin Cormaney of Woolstock, and Carl Cormaney of Blairsburg; and a sister, Daisy Hill of Ellsworth. He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Adelbert, Chuck, Earl Jr., and Kenneth; and three sisters, Esther Riley, Shirley Meyer, and Violet Cormaney.

Surls Funeral Home of Iowa Falls, was in charge of arrangements.
