HAMPTON-Heike H. Miller, 89, of Hampton, formerly of Wellsburg, died Sunday, Aug. 5, 2001, at the Hampton Health Care Center. Services will be Wednesday, Aug. 8, at 10:30 a.m. at Doyen-Abels Funeral Home in Wellsburg, with burial at Shiloh Cemetery in Wellsburg. Pastor Greg Smith will officiate. Memorial services will be Wednesday, Aug. 8, at 1:30 p.m. at the First Congregational United Church of Christ in Hampton, with Pastor Greg Smith officiating.

Heike was born June 26, 1912, in Wellsburg, to Fred and Elmda Mueller Miller. He attended school in Wellsburg and married Tina Ross who preceded him in death in 1974. He lived in Marshalltown during his working years and worked for M & St. L Railroad. He had lived in Hampton the past 25 years and was a member of the First Congregational United Church of Christ there. He enjoyed playing pool at the Hampton Senior Center. His hobbies were fishing and feeding birds.

He is survived by a daughter, Hylene Fiscus of Surprise, Ariz.; a grandson, Rodney Fiscus of Mesa, Ariz.; a granddaughter, Melissa (Fritz) Bambach, of Surprise; a sister, Mae Murphy of Hampton, and a brother, Warren Miller and his wife, Eleanor, of Grinnell. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; a son, Calvin; three sisters and a brother.
