Feb. 25, 1921-July 13, 2001

ACKLEY-Vivian J. Schultz, 80, of Ackley, died July 13, 2001, at Allen Memorial Hospital in Waterloo. Services were held Monday, July 16, at St. John's United Church of Christ in Ackley, with burial in Oakwood Cemetery, Ackley. Rev. Randy Russon officated.

Vivian was born Feb. 25, 1921, in Wellsburg, to Joe and Reka Meints Eygabroard. She attended Wellsburg schools and on Feb. 8, 1940, she married Arthur Schultz at St. John's United Church of Christ in Ackley. She worked for the canning factory in Ackley, Shugar's Super Valu, Cleves grocery store and the post office. Vivian was a member of the Rebekah Lodge in Ackley for many years, the Iowa Falls Rebekah Lodge and the American Legion Auxiliary.

She is survived by a daughter, Donna Boren and husband, Donald, of Grundy Center; two sons, Lowell and wife, Veronica, of Independence, and Dennis and wife, Ramona, of Anamosa; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and two sisters, Grace Schultz and Amelia Hippen.

The Sietsema Funeral Home of Ackley, was in charge of arrangements.
