HAMPTON-Phyllis Stewart Levy, 80,of Hampton, died Thursday, July 12, 2001, at the Muse Norris Hospice Unit at Mason City. Services were held Monday, July 16, at the Hampton United Methodist Church with burial in the Hampton Cemetery. Rev. Robert Connor officiated.

Phyllis was born May 3, 1921, in Winnebago County, Minn., to Harvey and Mary Wright Kinder. She attended country schools in Kiester, Minn. On Oct. 26, 1938, she married Bob Stewart in Lake Mills, and after his death in 1970, she married Leonard Levy on Aug. 15, 1975. She worked at Lighthouse Candles and was a dispatcher for the Hampton Police Department. Phyllis was a member of the Hampton United Methodist Church and volunteer at the Hampton Hospital Gift Shop. She was a avid bowler, enjoyed reading, computer games, traveling and visiting Prairie Meadows.

She is survived by three daughters, Meredith Stewart of Floyd, Arlouine Needham of Charles City, and Pamela Coburn of Lodi, Calif.; two sons, Terry Stewart of Waterloo, and Sam Stewart of Rifle, Colo.; two sisters, Pearlie Heinrich of Blue Earth, Minn., and Marjorie Kinkaid of Waseca, Minn.; three brothers, Harold, Roland and Dale Kinder, all of Kiester; nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands; a sister, Dorothy Kincaid and a daughter, Vicky Stewart.

Sietsema-Vogel Funeral Home of Hampton, was in charge of arrangments.
