MARENGO-Eva Isabell Warner, 86, of Marengo, formerly of Iowa Falls, died Thursday, June 21, 2001, at Rose Haven Nursing Home at Marengo. Funeral services were June 25 at Kloster Funeral Home in marengo with Pastor Russ Burnett officiating. Burial was at Union Cemetery in Iowa Falls. A memorial fund has been established.

Eva was born July 8, 1914, at Iowa Falls, to Oscar and Esther Olson Anderson. She graduated from Iowa Falls High School in 1931, and also graduated from the School of Business, Ozark Junior College in Carthage, Mo. She worked as a telephone operator for the phone company in Iowa Falls and married Perle Warner on Nov. 30, 1938, at Bethany, Mo. The couple farmed for many years near Iowa Falls. They retired in 1973 and moved to Balsam Lake, Wis., returning to Iowa Falls in 1983. Eva moved to Marengo after the death of her husband in 1985. She was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church and the Friendly Prairieville Club both in Iowa Falls. In earlier years, Eva was a volunteer for the Red Cross and the 4-H program.

She is survived by two sons, Dean Warner of Belle Plaine, and Michael and wife, Cindy, of Marion; two daughters, Nancy Beyer and husband, Larry, of Marengo, and Vicki Fagerstrom and husband, John, of Des Plaines, Ill.; and three grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and three brothers, Herbert and Clarence, and Robert Stanley Anderson who died in infancy.
