SEBRING, Fla. - Warren Edward Laneville, 82, of Iowa Falls died Saturday, Jan. 31, 2004, at his winter home in Sebring, Fla. Funeral mass will be Monday, Feb. 9, at 10:30 a.m. at the St. Mark Catholic Church, Iowa Falls, with Father Jim Dubert officiating. Burial will be at the Calvary Cemetery, Webster City, with military honors provided by Hyman-Peavey American Legion Post No. 188, Iowa Falls. Visitation will be Sunday from 2-8 p.m. at the Linn's Funeral Home, Iowa Falls, where the family will receive friends between the hours of 2-4 p.m. There will be a 2 p.m. scripture service Sunday at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to the family in care of his wife: Catherine Laneville, 203 Slayton Ave., Iowa Falls, IA 50126.

Warren was born Jan. 17, 1922, at Gwinn, Mich., to Eugene and Louise (Beauchamp) Laneville. He attended Webster City High School, graduating in 1940. Warren then went on to college, graduating from the Illinois College of Optometry. He served as a Lt. (JG) with the U.S. Navy during WWII from March 1, 1944 to June 21, 1946. Warren opened his first practice in LeMars in 1946. On May 9, 1946, he was united in marriage to Catherine Christeson at St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Webster City. In 1956, they moved to Iowa Falls where he opened his practice, retiring in 1984. Warren was a member of the St. Mark Catholic Church and a 54-year member of the Hyman-Peavey American Legion Post No. 188.

Survivors include his wife, Catherine of Iowa Falls; two daughters, Louise Cordes and husband Jim of New London, Virginia Kliphouse and husband Douglas of Royal Palm Beach, Fla.; three sons, Edward and wife Caroline of Cottontown, Tenn., Donald and wife Debbra of Medina, Ohio, and Daniel and wife Tammy of Spring Hill, Kan.; 12 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one brother, Ray of Lakeland, Fla. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Delbert.
