KELSEY SMITH
Overland Park, KS
Kelsey Smith, 18, beautiful and passionate met with her Lord on Saturday, June 2, 2007. She will be deeply missed. Kelsey was born on May 3, 1989 in Charleston, South Carolina, as "The Middle Child" of Gregory Allan and Melissa Mae (Haynes) Smith. From Kelsey's first day to her last, she lived life to the fullest extent. Kelsey's love for her family and her friends was evident in all that she did. She graduated from Shawnee Mission West on May 24, 2007 and was looking forward to attending K-State in the fall. Kelsey was active in marching band, choir and theatre. Her fabulous sense of humor and fun loving personality will be missed. One word can describe Kelsey.... AMAZING.
Kelsey leaves behind her parents, Greg and Missey, her sisters and brother, Steaphanie (Stevie), Lindsey, Dakota (Codie), and Zach, her beloved boyfriend, John Biersmith, her paternal grandparents, David and Pat Smith of Overland Park, maternal grandparents, Elbert Haynes of Des Moines, IA, Lucille Sigler of Kingsland, GA, aunts and uncles, Shannon Smith, Melody & Weston Whitten, Shellie Hillis, Rhonda & Bob Roach and Tim Sigler, and many cousins.
Memorial Services will be 2 p.m., Tuesday at Church of the Resurrection, 13720 Roe Avenue, Leawood. A reception will follow the service at the church. Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the church. Private family burial will be at Johnson County Memorial Gardens.
