RAY SCHOOLER (Iowa Falls, IA) ... Orville Ray Schooler was born February 13, 1917 at Mill Grove, MO and died January 14, 1994 at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines, IA at the age of 76 years.

Ray was the son of Ed and Stella Mae Evoritt Schooler. He graduated from Princeton High school and the National Television School in Kansas City, MO. He was united in marriage to Grace Torrey on August 3, 1940. Ray served in the United States Army Air Force from April 1944 to May 1946. He moved to Walnut, IA where he was Service Manager for the Chevrolet Garage, later moving to Iowa Falls. In December 1951, he became Service Manager of Kinsey Chevrolet. In February 1954 he and his wife, grace, opened Ray's Radio and T.V. Sales and Service Store which they managed for 28 years. In 1982, he retired but worked part-time for Bettis T.V. in Webster City.

Ray was a Life Member of the American Legion, a member of the elks Benevolence, Royal Order of the Moose, golden Antlers of the Moose and a member of the First Christian Church in Iowa Falls, where he served as a deacon.

He is survived by his wife, Grace, in Iowa Falls; a sister, Lucy Hall, and two brothers, Clifford and Guy Schooler, all of Princeton; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Daisy Harvey; two brothers, Phillip Schooler and Edward Evoritt Schooler and a twin brother and sister, Lyle Earl and Lena Murl.

Funeral services were held in Iowa Falls January 16, 1994 and a Memorial service January 17, 1994 with Military Rites given by the Legion Post of Mercer. Burial was in the Early Cemetery at Mercer, under the direction of Linn's Funeral Home of Iowa Falls.
