Dec. 1, 1912 - June 26, 1999
Logansport, Ind. - Elsie Caroline Brandt, 86, of Logansport, Ind., formerly of Buckeye, died Saturday, June 26, 1999, at Logansport. Services will be held Wednesday, June 30 at 1 p.m. at the Immanuel Memorial United Church of Christ in Alden with Burial in Northlawn Memory Gardens, Iowa Falls. Rev. Bob Miller will officiate.
Elsie was born Dec. 1, 1912 in Buckeye, to Frank and Ida Runge Bessman. She attended country school at Buckeye. On Jan 13, 1931 she married Vernie Brandt at Hubbard. She was a member of the Peace United Church of Christ in Buckeye and active in the church.
She is survived by a son, Robert, of Logansport; a daughter, Eljean of Costa Mesa, Calif.; four sisters, Edna Nicholson, Esther Nicolson, and Martha Havens, all of Alden, and Irma Burke of Oklahoma. a Brother Otis Bessman of Iowa Falls; seven grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a daughter LaVonne Danger; granddaughter, Denise Brandt; a grandson Mike Danger; four brothers, Leonard, Art, Bill, and Bob Bessman, and a sister, Ella Russell.
Surls Funeral Home in Iowa Falls is in charge of arrangements.
