Fred Kuhlman Funeral Held Saturday

Funeral services for Fred. W. Kuhlman were held Saturday afternoon from the Salem Evangelical church in charge of Rev. J.H. Engel of Cedar Falls, assisted by Rev. P.W. Pfaltzgraff. Burial was in the Hubbard cemetery.

Mr. Kuhlman, son of William and Christina Kuhlman, was born May 20, 1877, near Hubbard and died in his home Thursday morning following a heart attack.

He was married Feb. 21, 1900, to Miss Minnie Kuhfus of Hubbard. Mr. Kuhlman spent his entire life in this community. He had served on the local school board, was vice president of the Hubbard Cemetery society and a member of the Salem Evangelical church.

He is survived by his widow, one daughter, Mrs. Leona Sheldon, one son John Kuhlman, six grandchildren, three sisters, Mrs. Mollie Schlue of Van Horn, Mrs. A. W. Hoelscher of Holloway, Minn., and Mrs. W. C. Hoelscher of Hubbard.
