Otto H. Ziesman, son of Henry and Wilhelmina Ziesman, was born on a farm five miles west of Eldora, July 12, 1880 and died at Los Angeles, Calif, June 5, 1937.

He received his schooling in the Rough Woods school in Pleasant township and worked on the home farm near Rough Woods, now owned by his brother H. A. Ziesman, until he engaged in farming for himself in 1910.

In 1920 he rented his farm and came to Eldora, where he formed a partnership with Frank Ziesman in a tire and auto accessory business, until failing health forced them to sell their business in November, 1936.

In December, 1936, he went to California where he hopes to regain his health. But the sunshine and warm climate failed to help and he passed away at the age of 56 years, 10 months, and 23 days.

In infancy he was baptised and later confirmed in the Lutheran faith. His body was returned to Eldora where services were conducted by Rev. A.L. Ragsdale from the Christian church and burial was made in the Eldora cemetery.

He leaves to mourn his death three brothers and four sisters. His father, mother and one sister preceded him in death. His father died in 1917, his mother in 1936, and his sister in 1875.

His brothers are W.F., H.A. and F.R. Ziesman of Eldora; his sisters Mrs. Hulda Dreier, Hubbard, Mrs, Minnie Simmons, Pittsburgh, Pa.; and Mrs. Emilie Byer (sic) and Mrs. Marie Morgan of Los Angeles, Calif.
