Emil Tietz Rites Held Here Mon.

Services for Emil Tietz, 79, of Eldora were held Monday afternoon at the St. Paul's Lutheran church at Eldora. He died at the hospital here at 2 a.m. Friday (7 February 1958) where he had been a patient for three months.

The Rev. John Zimmerman officiated and interment was in the Eldora cemetery.

Pallbearers were Max Ziesman, Henry Gellhorn, August Marske, Arnie Grulech, Carl Dobbrunz and Otto Orgell. Flower ladies were Miss Meta Dobbrunz, Mrs. Arnie Gurlech and Mis Marie Eilers.

Vocals were by the St. Paul choir and Mrs. Walter Guenther was accompanist.

Emil Tietz was born Nov. 29, 1878 in Germany and came to Hardin county as a baby. He retired and moved to Eldora in 1940.

Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Leslie Vinton, Eldora; Mrs. Ross Birch, LaPorte City; and Mrs. Irene Bell of Iowa Falls, and two stepsons, Edward and Max Zielske of Steamboat Rock.

Arrangements were made by the Andrle and Creps Funeral Home of Eldora.
