Steamboat Rites for Mrs. Fouts Died Saturday

Fatally Injured in Fall from Car at Cedar Rapids

Funeral services for Mrs. Emmet J. Fouts, 35, of Marion will be held at the Presbyterian church in Steamboat Rock at 2 p.m. tomorrow with the Rev. Edward Mohr in charge. Interment will be in the Eldora cemetery.

Mrs. Fouts, the former Ruth Whitney of Eldora, died at Iowa City hospital Saruday (12 May 1956) of injuries suffered when she fell from the family car in Cedar Rapids Friday night.

The car was being driven by her husband who told Cedar Rapids authorities that the car door apparently was not shut tight and when his wife tried to open it to slam it shut she fell out of the vehicle.

Mr. and Mrs. Fouts farmed near Marion. Both are graduates of the Eldora high school.

Pall bearers will be Edwin Stull, Verl Manning, Jern Frerichs, Ellis Perry, Raleigh King, Jr, and Carroll Hobson.

Mrs. Jern Frerichs and Mrs. Edwin Stull will have charge of the flowers.
