Rites Today for Frank Cable, 76

Frank Cable, a lifelong resient of Hardin county, died at the Eldora Memorial Hospital Sunday morning at the age of 76 years.

Funeral services will be held today, April 18, at 2 p.m. from the Andrle-Creps Funeral Home with burial in the Eldora Cemetery. The Rev Walter Dimmlich will officiate with vocals by Mrs. Clement Marsden, accompanied at the organ by Mrs. J. D. Leonard.

Pallbearers will be Delmar Hayden, Donald Eckhoff, Walter Granner, John Janssen, Everett Foster and Carroll Doud with flowerladies Mrs. Everett Foster, Mrs. Donald Eckhoff and Mrs. Ralph Bright.

Frank Cable was born July 29, 1884, in Hardin county, the son of James and Ellen Cable. He was married to Myrtle Lockwood in Steamboat Rock on Jan 21, 1909. The couple farmed until retiring and moving to Eldora 17 years ago.

Survivors inclue Mrs. Cable; a son Kenneth, of Eldora; one sister, Cora Taber of Waterloo; six grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son Harold, a daughter Wilma, the latter in infancy, two brothers and one sister.
