Irma Morgan

BRITT — Irma L. Morgan, 76, of Britt, died Monday (Sept. 1, 1980) at a Britt nursing home.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at the Carter Ewing Funeral Home, Britt, the Rev. Larry Vallery of the United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Britt.

Visitation will be at the Carter Ewing Funeral Home until time of services.

Miss Morgan was born at Jefferson and moved to Britt with her parents at an early age. She graduated from Britt High School and attended business college at Cedar Rapids.

She graduated from Iowa State Teachers College (now the University of Northern Iowa) at Cedar Falls, and taught school at Hampton and Indianola. She later was employed by the Department of Social Services at Sioux City, Charles City and Sibley.

Retiring in 1962, Miss Morgan moved back to Britt. She had been a resident at Westview Manor Nursing Home since 1967. She was a member of the United Methodist Church, Britt.

Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Archie (Bonnita) Nelson, Kanawha; and a brother, Dr. H.R. Morgan, Britt.
