Former Garner resident, Moe, dies

Word has been received of the death of C. Keith Moe, 78, 1824 57th Street, Des Moines, Friday, May 5, 1995 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center of heart failure.

Services were held Monday, May 8, 10 a.m.. at Mount Olive Lutheran Church in Des Moines.

Graveside services were held at 2 p.m., Monday at St. John's Lutheran Church Cemetery, rural Garner with Westover Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

C. Keith Moe was born and reared in Garner. He had lived in Des Moines the past 32 years.

Keith had served in the U.S. Coast Guard during World War II. He had been a meat cutter at Super Value in Altoona until he retired in 1983.

He was a member of Mount Olive Lutheran Church in Des Moines, the American Legion and Lions Club.

He is survived by his wife, Marie Moe of Des Moines; one daughter, Janelle Stewart and her husband Charles of St. Louis, MO; one sister, Madelon Hudson and her husband, Charles of Catonsville, MD.; and five nieces.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Chester Homer and Dorothy Ann (Reeves) Moe.
