BRITT - Funeral services for Mrs. Joseph (Helen) McGurk, 51, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at First Lutheran Church in Britt. The Rev. Paul W. Adix will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Britt with Boughton Funeral Home in charge. The body will lie in state at the church after 10:30 a.m. Tuesday.

The daughter of Fritz and Elizabeth Rohlf, she was born Nov. 5, 1917 at Woden. She was graduated from Woden High School and was married June 22, 1940, at Forest City.

Surviving are her husband, two children, Mrs. Don (Sandra) Riis, Madison, Wis.; Mary McGurk, Denver, Colo.; three grandsons, her parents, Woden; four brothers, John and Freddie Gerdes, Woden; Henry Gerdes, Britt; Ernest Gerdes, Woden; three sisters, Mrs. Ted (Mary) Bode, Ceylon, Minn.; Mrs. Don (Betty) May, Corwith; Mrs. David (Barbara) Shipman, Nora Springs.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Hans Gerdes.
