Services held for Henry Mayland, 55
Funeral services were held for Henry L. Mayland of Britt on Saturday, March 17, 1984 at the First Lutheran Church of Britt at 2:00 p.m. Rev. James A. Mattson and Rev. Sue Olson co officiated the services.
Interment was at Evergreen Cemetery, with Flag Folding Rights conducted by the Britt American Legion Post.
Mr. Mayland passed away at St. Joseph's Mercy Hospital in Mason City on Thursday, March 15. He was born on October 9, 1928 in Woden, Iowa.
Survivors include his wife, Beverly; daughters, Nancy and her husband, Daryl Beenken of Woden; Wanda of Minneapolis; a son, Keith and his wife, Cindy of Britt; three grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Henry Gremmer of Woden, Erlene Schutter of Titonka and Mrs. John Wilson of Britt; and two brothers, Herman of Garner and Walbert of Britt. He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and two sisters.
Carter-Ewing Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Services for Henry L. Mayland, who died March 15 at St. Joseph's Mercy Hospital in Mason City, were held Saturday, March 17 at 2 p.m. at the First Lutheran Church in Britt with Rev. James A. Mattson and Rev. Sue Olson officiating.
Music was provided by organist, Mrs. Kenneth Ferjak and soloist, Mrs. Paul Smith. Ushers were Melvin Pergande and Paul Smith.
Honorary casket bearers were Marvin Betcher, John Brock, Dennis Brumm, William Dummett, Carl Frick, Dr. H.R. Morgan, Ray Nelson, Harold Wallen, Bob Whipple and Jim Young.
Active casket bearers were Richard Barker, Harry Champney, Mike Charbonneaux, Ervin Nelson, Steve Olmstead and Merrill Olson. Interment was in Evergreen Cemetery with flag folding rights conducted by the Britt American Legion Post.
