Garner Woman Dies After Long Illness

Garner - Funeral services for Mrs. Ferd Schipull, 76, were held Monday at the Schipull home and at the United Presbyterian church in Garner with the Rev. J. Dallas Gibson in charge. Interment was in the Concord cemetery with the Bohn funeral home in charge. Mrs. Schipull died early Saturday morning following a long illness.

Emma Marie Biggins, daughter of August and Henrietta Biggins, was born on Feb. 2, 1874, at Bloomington, Ill. When she was 3 weeks old her parents moved to Storm Lake.

She was married to Ferd Schipull at Storm Lake on the 1st day of March, 1899, and the couple established their home on a farm near Luverne where they resided until March 1st, 1919, when the family moved to Garner where they resided since.

Mr. and Mrs. Schipull celebrated their golden wedding in March, 1949. Mrs. Schipull was a member of the United Presbyterian church in Garner and a member of the Garner Rebekah lodge.

She leaves her husband, Ferd Schipull, two daughters Ruth, Mrs. Addis Greiman of Garner and Aliene, Mrs. M. W. Arnett of Storm Lake, 6 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
