Kester Rites to Be Wednesday at Forest City

Garner - Funeral services for Howard Levi Kester, 46, will be held at the Methodist Church in Forest City on Wednesday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. W. H. Brandt presiding. The Oleson Funeral Home, Forest City, is in charge of arrangements.

Kester died at his home north of Garner Saturday night from a heart ailment. He suffered his first attack on Jan. 22 and had several recurring attacks. He spent six weeks in the Municipal Hospital at Forest City.

Howard was born on Jan. 12, 1911, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Kester. He was active in Farm Bureau, school and other community affairs. He is survived by his wife, three sons, Ronald, Leroy and Jerry, all at home and two brothers, John of Hayfield and Jim of California.
