Garner Man Laid To Rest
Death of Carl Kloock Comes 5 Days After His Wife Succumbed.Garner, Nov 12 - The funeral of Carl H. E. Kloock, 75, who passed away at his home in Garner Friday morning, was held Monday at St. Paul's Lutheran church. Just five days before his death, Mrs. Kloock, his life partner of 50 years, died in their Garner home.
Mr. Kloock's death followed a paralytic stroke which he suffered some time ago. He was born at Tewswoos, Mecklenburg Schewerin, Germany, in 1853.
He was married to Louise Wacker in 1878 and they remained in Germany for 14 years. The family came to America in 1892, coming direct to Garner where it had resided ever since.
Ten children were born to them, five of whom are living. They are Carl and William of Garner; John of Farwell, Minn,; Otto of Wittemore and Miss Bertha Kloock of Mason City.
