Clear Lake - Mrs. Gertrude Radloff, 68, of 624 Seventh Ave. N., Clear Lake, died Sunday (Aug 28, 1988) at North Iowa Medical Center in Mason City of natural causes.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at the Evangelical Free Church, Highway 18 West, Clear Lake. The Rev. Patrick Clinton will officiate with burial in Concord Cemetery at Garner.

Mrs. Radloff was born December 6, 1919, in (rural Meservey) Hancock County to Klaas and Mary (Saatoff) Pals. She attended school in Swaledale and graduated in 1938. She lived with her parents and helped take care of newborn infants of neighbors.

On Sept 11, 1940, she was married to Harold Radloff at Swaledale. They lived in Hanlontown, and later farmed in the Garner area. She moved to Clear Lake in 1973 after her husband died.

She worked at Wildwood Cottage at Handicap Village and retired in 1985. She then continued to work part-time at Handicap Village.

She was a member of the Evangelical Free Church, Clear Lake.

Visitation will be after 2 p.m. Wednesday at Ward-Van Slyke Colonial Chapel, 101 N Fourth, Clear Lake. The family will be at the funeral home to receive friends from 2 to 4:30 p.m. and 6:30 to 9 p.m. Wednesday. Memorials may be given to the Gertrude Radloff Memorial Fund.

Survivors include four daughters, Marlene Anderson, San Jose, Calif., Merikay Malone, Buckingham, Quebec, Canada; Barbara Boeke, Moorhead, Minn., and Renae Hodgin, Platteville, Colorado.; two sisters, Alma Enabnit, Clear Lake, and Esther Beek, Mason City; one brother, Clarence Pals, Forest City; and 13 grandchildren.
