Garner Farmer Dies Suddenly

Funeral to be Tuesday for Fred Radloff, 72

Garner - Funeral services for Fred Radloff, 72, will be held at St. Paul's Lutheran church at 2 p.m. Tuesday (Jan 21, 1947) with the Rev. G. J. Kupke officiating.

Burial will be in the Concord township cemetery. Mr. Radloff died suddenly at his farm home southeast of Garner Saturday (Jan 18, 1947).

Fred Radloff was born Feb 3, 1875, in the province of Pommern, Germany. He came with his parents to America when he was 6 years old and the family homesteaded in Nebraska. One year later the family moved to Clayton county.

On October 20, 1897, he was married to Minnie Behrens at Volga City. In 1913 the family came to the Garner vicinity and has resided here since.

Surviving are his wife, 8 children, Fred of Lyle, Minn.; Harold of Hanlontown; Mrs. Victor Meyer, Ventura; Mrs. Earl Quintus, Garner; Raymond of Garner; Frieda, Ruth and Laurence at home; 3 sisters; Mrs. Charles Strien, Farmersburg; Mrs. Herman Heins, Postville, and Mrs. Bertha Ihde, Wilton, Minn.

Mr. Radloff was very active in church, community and civic affairs.
