Mrs. Evelyn Olson's services held Monday

Funeral services for Mrs. Evelyn Olson, who died suddenly June 19 [1971] in Forest City, were at 2 p.m. Monday at Olson Funeral Home. The Rev. Gordon Packard of the United Methodist church officiated and burial was in Madison cemetery.

Born June 23, 1906 in Sussex, England, to John William and Ruth (Ogden) Rowe, she moved at the age of two with her parents to Cherokee. She was married to Marvin Olson July 26,1924 in Cherokee. The family moved to Forest City in 1935.

Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Richard (Dorothy) Smith of Sioux City and Mrs. Bruce (Lovella) Anderson of Forest City; four grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Doris Van Ausdal of Pensacola, Fla.

She was pre-deceased by her husband, her parents, a grandson and one sister.

Mrs. Franklin Bienert was organist for the service. Pall bearers were Frank Kasik, Claire Haugen, Donald Eymann, Charles Garcia, Timothy Anderson and John Whisnant.
