Josie Lund

FOREST CITY — Mrs. Josie Lund, 88, died Monday [15 May 1972] at the Forest City Hospital.

Born March 21, 1884. on a farm near Rake, she was the daughter of Ambrose and Annie Olson Jarshaw. She was married to Nick H. Lund May 24, 1911. They farmed in the Rake and Thompson area until 1945 when they moved into Forest City.

Surviving are two sons, Norman, Monticello; the Rev. Burnell Lund, Rapid City, S.D.; three daughters, Mrs. Leon (Beulah) Barsness, Mason City; -Miss Agnes Lund, San Francisco; Mrs. Carleton (Ruby) Rauk, Forest City; 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband June 30, 1970, and a son, Homer, in World War II.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Forest Evangelical Lutheran Church in Forest City. The Rev. James Lillo will officiate. Burial will be in Madison Township Cemetery. Olson-Peterson Funeral Home of Forest City is in charge.
