Services for Nick Lund July 3 in Forest City

Funeral services for Nick H. Lund, 87, who died June 30 [1970] at the Forest City hospital were held at 10:30 a.m. July 3 at Forest Evangelical Lutheran church. Burial was in Madison township cemetery in Forest City.

The Rev. James Lillo conducted the service and Olson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Lund was born Oct. 18, 1882 near Thompson to Henry and Betsy (Hove) Lund. He was married to Josie Jarshaw May 24, 1911, in Rake. He farmed until 1945 when he retired and moved to an acreage west of Forest City.

Survivors are his wife; two sons, Norman of Monticello and the Rev. Burnell Lund of Rapid City, S. D.; three daughters, Agnes of San Francisco, Calif., Mrs. Leon (Beulah.) Barsness of Mason City, and Mrs. Carlton (Ruby) Rauk of Forest City; one sister, Mrs. Max (Hazel) Hanson of Rake; 12 grandchildren and three great
grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one son Homer, in 1945; six brothers, Lud, John, Burt, Oscar, Martin and Albert; two sisters, Rosie Triggs and Hannah Nesheim.

Casket bearers were Eric, Gary and Jerry Barsness, Brian Rauk, Tim Lund and Richard Rovang.
