Funeral services for Thelma, "Peg" Stille, 93, of Clear Lake who died Wednesday. April 30, 1997, at the Concord Care Center, Garner were held 1.30: p.m., Saturday, May 3, at the United Methodist Church in Garner with the Rev. Robert T. Ellis officiating.

Mrs, Roger Kopacek, organist, accompanied Bill Renner, soloist. Ushers were Maynard Schoneman and Marvin Schoneman.

Casket bearers were Larry Schisel, Larry Boller, Delwyn Stromer, Dean Stromer, Dean Tompkins and Dr. H.T. Bosworth.

Burial was in Concord Township Cemetery in Garner. Visitation was held Friday at the Cataldo Funeral Chapel, 160 E. 4th St., Garner.

Thelma "Peg" Albee Stille, the daughter of Carl O. and Bessie (Albee) Roe, was born July 9, 1903 at Wesley. At the age of five, she moved with her family to Garner where she attended school and graduated from Garner High School in 1922. She continued her education at Iowa State University where she received her degree in Elementary Education majoring in Home Economics.

She was married to Cecil George Stille. She taught school at Hayfield, Wesley, Garner and Ventura retiring in 1968. She was also a house mother at the Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity in Ames from 1968-75. In 1957, Peg and Cecil built a home on the north shore of Clear Lake. After her husband's death Peg continued to live in Clear Lake. Due to ill health she moved to Concord Care Center in Garner.

Peg was a member of the United Methodist Church, U.M.W., Ventura Garden Club and P.E.O.

She is survived by two sons, Robert R. Stille and his wife, Virginia of Britt, and Tom A. Stille and his wife, Kathy of Reno, NV; six grandchildren, Laurie S. Anderson and her husband, Doug, and their children Brittany and Aaron of Nevada, Linda S. Skogerboe and her husband, Mark and their daughters, Anna and Amy of Goodell, Lisa S. Barillas and her husband, Chris and their son, Nicholas of Maxwell, Mishawn Stille, Rimu A. Stille, and Clay Stille of Reno, NV: a sister-in-law, Lucille Roe of Davis, CA; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil, in 1964; parents, Bessie Roe, February 20, 1978 and Carl Roe; and a brother, Don C. Roe, March 14, 1990.
