Services for Laurence Radloff, 81 of Garner who died Saturday, Jan. 11, 1997, at North Iowa Mercy Health Center, East in Mason City, were held 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, Jan. 14, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Garner with Rev. Clyde Kieschnick as officiant.

Mrs. Clyde Kieschnick, organist, accompanied Mrs. Dean Cataldo, soloist. Ushers were Stan Ziesmer and George Doble.

Honorary bearers were "All Believers."

Active bearers were Gordon Quintus, Bill Quintus, Robert Radloff, Ron Radloff, Jack Greiman and Ivan Barkema.

Burial was in Concord Township Cemetery in Garner. Visitation was held Monday at the Cataldo Funeral Chapel in Garner.

Laurence Frederick Radloff, the son of Frederick and Minnie (Behrens) Radloff, was born July 29, 1915. on a farm near Klemme. He was baptized at a Lutheran church in Postville. Laurence attended the rural schools of Ell Township and then farmed with his parents.

February 18, 1951, he married Evelyn Neva Hansen at St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Nora Springs. They farmed southeast of Garner on the home farm all of their married life. Laurence loved his wife and his church. He encouraged young people and often asked how they were doing and what were their future plans. He also had a strong interest in community and school activities.

He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church where he had served as a Sunday School teacher for 51 years. He served as a Soil Commissioner and was a member of the Beef Producers and Pork Producers.

He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Radloff of Garner; a sister, Gertrude Meyer of Mason City; a brother, Ray Radloff and his wife, Ann of Garner; a sister-in-law, Ella Radloff of Lyle, MN, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Fred Radloff and Harold Radloff; and three sisters, Ruth Radloff, Frieda Radloff and Ruby Quintus.
