Funeral Services This Thursday for Charles Bolsinger

Funeral services will be held this Thursday for Charles Joseph Bolsinger, 83 year old longtime resident of Forest City. Rev. Max Goldman will officiate at the 2 p.m. services in the Forest City Methodist church.

Mrs. Franklin Bienert, organist, will accompany Mrs. Robert Goranson, soloist.

Casket bearers will be Peter Hansen, William Thompson, William Drewes, Frank Kamish, Myron Martinson and Randolph Lynn.

Interment will be in the Madison township cemetery.

Charles Bolsinger died early Tuesday morning at his home in Forest City after a long illness. He was born Oct. 2, 1879 in Ellington township in Hancock county, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Bolsinger.

He was baptized at the Methodist church in Ellington Center and attended the Ellington Center school.

He farmed for several years in Ellington township. Oct. 6, 1909 he married the former Emma Waldo at Forest City. In 1915, they moved to Forest City and he did carpenter work until his retirement in 1953. He also served 39 1/2 years on the Forest City fire department.

Surviving are his wife, Emma; one daughter, Mrs. Charles Hanson of St. Ansgar; a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Mabel Bolsinger at Lake Mills, seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his son, Milo, in service in World War II, four sisters and four brothers.
