Obituary

John Lemke was born October 11, 1830 in Pommern, Germany and died December 8, 1912 at his home in Gamer, Iowa. He was married in 1856 to Frederika Schlavin and they settled to this county in 1885. The funeral services were held December 11 from the German Lutheran church of which he was a consistent member, and the services were conducted by Rev. Geo. B. Koch. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife, one son and one daughter. His age was 62 years, 1 month and 27 days.
