Obituary Mrs. Carl Bahr

Funeral Held Last Sunday From St. Paul's Lutheran Church.

The funeral of Mrs. Carl Bahr whose death occurred on Tuesday evening of last week, was held on Sunday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, and the remains laid to rest in St. John's Cemetery northeast of Garner.

Her Maiden names was Emma Seig and she was born in Germany in April, 1860. In 1887 she came to America and came directly to Garner, where she has lived ever since. In 1889 she was married to Mr. Carl Bahr who survives her. They lived on a farm for a number of years, and for the past nine years they have lived in Garner.

Five daughters survive their mother, Mrs. Matilda Zeismer of Ventura, Mrs. Emma Pinckney of Montana, Mrs.Lizzie George of Neils, Iowa, Mrs. Alvina Seward of Des Moines, and Miss Lena who lives at home. Two sons and one daughter have preceded their mother in death, Ferdinand, Emil and Hannah.

She was a devout Christian woman, being a member of the German Lutheran Church, and had the highest respect of those who knew her.
