There they tarried for a year and a half, when they removed to a farm in Franklin county, near the town of Ackley, where they lived for thirty one years. After retiring they spent seven years in Ackley and then came to dwell near their children in Hancock county. They lived with the Stank Nedved family.

Five children were born to the union but two of them preceded their mother in death. Those living are, Frank Kopacek, Jr., Mrs. Stank Nedved and Mrs. W. Zeman of Cedar Rapids. Thirty grandchildren survive, the husband is also living.
