Rites Thurs. for Mrs. Herman Best

Mrs. Herman (Vera) Best, 56, died suddenly at her home Tuesday morning, March 29, 1966. Funeral services will be held at St. Boniface Catholic Church at 9 a.m., Thursday, March 31, with the Rev. Robert L. Palen officiating.

Rosary will be said tonight (Wednesday) at the Bohn Funeral Home at 8 o'clock.

Burial will be made in St. Boniface Catholic Cemetery. Paul Young, Leonard Young. William Young, Raymond Young, Donald Young and Richard Young will serve as pallbearers.

Born May 11, 1909, she was the daughter of Frank and Emma Gelner Young. She lived with her parents until her marriage to Herman Best on Jan. 26, 1932. They farmed near Pomeroy, until moving to their present farm home in 1936.

Surviving are her husband, Herman; four sons, Walter, at home; Robert, Garner; Dennis, Indianola, and Larry, stationed in San Diego, Calif., with the U.S. Navy; her mother, Mrs. Emma Young; one brother, Leo Young, Garner, and six grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father, who died in 1951, and two sister and a brother, who died in infancy.
