Services for Marjorie Frederick, 73, Garner, who died Monday, Feb. 10, 1992 at Oakwood Care Center in Clear Lake, will be held 10,30 a.m., Wednesday, Feb. 12 at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Garner with Rev. Msgr. John Chihak as celebrant. Peter Frederick will be the mass server. Eulogist will be Rev. John Ayers.

Carolyn Kumsher, organist, will accompany the St. Boniface Choir. Tanna Frederick will play the piano during communion. Ushers will be Elmer Urich and Robert Kral.

Honorary casket bearers will be Julie McCarey, Barbara Nielsen, Charlotte Nielsen, Kathy Nielsen, Mary Elizabeth Nielsen, Sarah Frederick, Ann Frederick, Tanna Frederick, Nate Frederick, Joshua Frederick, Hannah Frederick, Mara Frederick, Ben Frederick, Zach Frederick and Ann Lammers.

Active bearers will be John Frederick, Bryan Nielsen, Thomas Nielsen, Charles Nielsen, Jeff Haes, Craig Haes, Jason Haes and R.J. McCarey.

Burial will be in the St. Boniface Cemetery in Garner. Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 11 at the Cataldo Funeral Chapel in Garner with a Scriptural Wake Service at 7 p.m. and a V.F.W. Auxiliary service at 7:30 p.m.

Marjorie Jeanette Frederick, the daughter of Theodore and Johanna C. (Nielsen) Jensen, was born November 24, 1918 at Minneapolis, MN. After graduating from Washburn High School in Minneapolis, she attended a business college in Minneapolis.

September 13, 1941, she married James Frederick at Minneapolis. They lived in Minneapolis, moved to Mason City in 1947, to Des Moines in 1951 and in 1955 to Garner. After her husband's death October 17, 1975, she continued to make her home in Garner. She had worked at Iowa Mold Tooling as a receptionist and as a secretary at the Garner Elementary School. She especially enjoyed singing and baking for family and friends. She was proud of her association with Alcoholics Anonymous where she had received her 11 year pin.

She was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church where she sang in the choir. She also was a member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary and had sung in Sweet Adelines.

She is survived by her children, Peter Frederick of Des Moines, Mrs. Joan Nielsen and her husband, Joseph of Clear Lake, David Frederick and his wife, Nancy of Mason City, Mrs. Mary Haes McCoy and her husband, Mike of Omaha, NE, Tom Frederick and his wife, Sharon of Forest City, and James Frederick and his wife, Marie of Clear Lake; 19 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Lorraine Simpson of Edina, MN; and a sister-in-law, Mrs. Florence Jensen of Minneapolis, MN.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Frederick; her parents; and a brother, Theodore Jensen.
