Services for Mrs. Judy Huinker, 47, of Garner, who died Saturday, April 2, 1988 at her home in Garner, were held 10 a.m., Tuesday, April 5 at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Garner with Rev. Msgr. John Chihak as celebrant. Ron McCabe was lector.

Mrs. Ronald Kumsher, organist, accompanied Mrs. Ron Trca and George Schmidt, who sang as a duet and the church choir. Ushers were Elmer Urich and Robert Kral.

Casket bearers were Merlyn Borchers, Ron Haberkamp, Terry Tackett, Jack Butz, Lyle Jensen and Larry Bell.

Burial was in St. Boniface Catholic Cemetery in Gamer.

Visitation, Rosary Society rosary and a Parish Scriptural Wake Service were held at the Cataldo Funeral Chapel in Garner.

Judith Lee Huinker, the daughter of Donald and Henrietta (Slattenow) Cottington, was born June 21, 1940 at Forest City. She graduated from Crystal Lake High School in 1957 and then graduated from Hamilton's Business College in Mason City. She worked for Mason City Tent & Awning Company for four years.

October 15, 1960, she was married to Joseph Huinker at Holy Family Catholic Church in Mason City. Judy had worked at the Garner Leader & Signal and for the past nine years at the Garner-Hayfield Community Schools.

She was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church, Rosary Society, Hi C Homemaker's Club and had been active as a Girl Scout leader.

She is survived by her husband, Joseph; her son, Daniel, and his wife, Shawn, of Ames; her daughter, Mrs. Darsi Wellik, and her husband, Tom, of Garner; 2 grandchildren; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Cottington, of Crystal Lake; her grandmother, Mrs. Gertrude Cottington, of Crystal Lake; a sister, Mrs. Donna Gabby, and her husband Harold, of Austin, TX and a brother, Douglas Cottington, and his wife, Susan, of Emmetsburg.
