Rose F. Kelly, 92

Funeral services for Rose Kelly were held Saturday, July 7 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Garner. Rev. Father William N. Holzer was the celebrant. Mass Servers were: Daniel Hrubes, Steve Kral and Tom Kral.

Organist was Mrs. Carolyn Kumsher. Ushers were Elmer Urich and Robert Kral.

Casketbearers were: Paul Kelly, Robert Kelly, Edward McDermott, Raymond Massey, Robert Massey, and Russell Massey. Burial was in the St. Boniface Catholic Cemetery. Cataldo Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Rose F. Kelly was born at Ft. Scott, Kansas on March 22, 1887, the daughter of William and Eva (Boll) Massey. She came to Iowa with her parents in a covered wagon, settling on a farm near Britt.

She was married to John Kelly on October 18, 1905, at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Garner. Mr. and Mrs. Kelly farmed near Britt for many years, moved to a farm near Garner, later retiring to live in Garner. When Mr. Kelly became ill they moved to Austin, Minnesota. Mr. Kelly died in 1958. Mrs. Kelly had maintained her home in Austin until early this year when she came to live with her daughter, Charlotte, in Garner.

In May she entered the Concord Manor Nursing Home and died there on Thursday, July 5th at the age of 92 years.

Mrs. Kelly is survived by three children, Mrs. Harold (Gertrude) McCormick of Goodell, Mrs. Stanley (Charlotte) Ziesmer of Garner and John J. Kelly of Austin, Minnesota. Also, 8 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, a brother, Walter Massey of Clairmont, Minn., and a sister, Mrs. Clara Loomer of Mason City.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, an infant son, Lawrence and by brothers Lawrence and Cyrus and sisters, Marie Lemmon and Minnie Hall.
