Services for Hildreth Katherine Tlach, 71, of Garner, who died Friday, May 14, 1999, at the Muse Norris Hospice Impatient Unit, were held Monday, May 17, at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, Duncan, Monday, May 17, at 9:30 a.m. with Rev. John W. Hemann officiating.

Music was provided by organist, Mary Kopacek who accompanied the St. Wenceslaus Church Choir.

Active bearers were Marvin Rayhons, Jerry Tlach, Ray Tlach, Ted Tusha, Tim Tusha, and Tom Tusha.

Interment was held at St. John's Catholic Cemetery in Duncan.

Special services were held Sunday, May 16, a scriptural wake service was held at 6 p.m., and Rosary Society Rosary at 5 p.m.

Hildreth Katherine Tlach, the daughter of Frank and Mary Yezek Tlach, was born June 27, 1927 on her parent's farm near Britt. She attended country school and graduated from Garner High School. Following graduation, Hildreth attended St. Teresa College in Winona, MN. She taught school in various communities in Iowa and Fairmont, MN. She later retired from teaching to take care of her mother.

Hildreth became a resident of Duncan Height in 1989, and continued to reside there until 1996. She has been a resident of Concord Care Center in Garner for the past three years.

Hildreth was an avid bird watcher and loved flowers. She taught religion classes at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Duncan. Hildreth was also a Catholic Daughter member.

Hildreth is survived by many cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, John.
