Services for John S. Webster, 46, Worthington, MN, who died Tuesday, Feb. 21, 1989 at his home of a heart attack, were held Saturday, Feb. 25 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Charles City. A memorial service was held Sunday, Feb. 26 at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Worthington, MN.

Following cremation, burial will be in St. Boniface Cemetery in Garner with Schumburg Funeral Home in Rockford in charge of arrangements.

John S. Webster, the son of Merritt and Margaret Webster, was born April 15, 1942 at West Lafayette, IN. He attended college at Utah State University at Ogden, UT and graduated from William Penn College at Osakaloosa.

May 17, 1987, he married Linda Falada of Garner at the Winnebago Scout Reservation at Marble Rock.

He had served 12 years as District Executive of North Rivers District, Winnebago Council, Boy Scouts of America. He was currently serving as Senior District Executive of Manitou District, Sioux Council, Boy Scouts of America based in Sioux Falls, SD. He was active in Kiwanis International and was past president of the Charles City Noon Kiwanis.

He is survived by his wife, Linda; three daughters, Kimberly, Audrey and Tammy all of Marshalltown; one son, Terry, Story City; his parents, Merritt and Margaret Webster of West Lafayette, IN; his parents-in-law, Francis and Ann Falada of Garner; two sisters, Mrs. William (Edith) Shugart III of Libertyville, IL and Mrs. George (Ann) Weaver of Hellam, PA; and one granddaughter, Shawna Renee of Story City.
