Hawkinson Funeral Is This Thursday

Funeral services will be held this Thursday at 2 p.m. from Olson Funeral Home for Emil H. Hawkinson, 73, native of Mount Valley township, who died unexpectedly Monday night.

The lifelong resident of Winnebago county was born Nov. 18, 1892, son of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Hawkinson. He was born on the farm where he lived all his life and died.

Jan. 1, 1919 Emil Hawkinson married Ruth A. Olson at Galva, Ill. and returned to the farm in Mount Valley township.

Survivors include one son, Paul of Clear Lake and a granddaughter, Kathy Hawkinson, also of Clear Lake. He was preceded in death by his wife June 27, 1965.

Funeral services will be officiated over by Rev. Owen Gangstead and burial will be in Madison township cemetery. Casket bearers will be Ernest Davis, Herbert Heimdal, Halvor Hanson, Glen Monson, Raymond Miller and Stanton Benson.

Mrs. Marlin D. Olson will be soloist and Mrs. Joseph Peterson organist.
