Schedule funeral services for Mrs. Norman Lovik

Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday at 10 a.m. for Mrs. Norman (Doris) Lovik, 57, who died Sunday at a Mason City hospital.

Services will be conducted at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Forest City with the Rev. Ole Winter officiating. Norma Boomgarden will serve as organist and the Rev. Paul Mork, soloist.

Casket bearers are Richard Banken, Dennis Bragg, Keith Lemme, James D. Mitchell, Dale Nielsen and Ernest Riggle. Interment is at the Madison Cemetery in Forest City with Olson-Petersen Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Lovik was born at Iowa Falls on March 21, 1919, the daughter of Charles and Cora Hobbs. She was raised on a farm near Crystal Lake and graduated from Crystal Lake High School, Waldorf College and Iowa State Teachers College.

She taught in the Linden township schools and also at Crystal Lake High School.

On Nov. 18, 1942, she married Norman Lovik in Bethany, Mo. They have lived for more than 30 years on the family farm west of Forest City.

She is survived by her husband, Norman; two children, Steven and Corinne; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Hobbs; and her sister, Marjorie Hall.

Mrs. Lovik was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Mary Beth.
