Memorial services for Florence Hanson Morris, 80, Blaine, MN, formerly of Garner, who died Monday, Feb. 19, 1996, were held Saturday, Feb. 24, 1:30 p.m., at the Cataldo Funeral Chapel in Garner with Pastor James Lamb of St. Paul Lutheran Church officiating.

Music was provided by Beverly Cataldo, organist.

Honorary pall bearers were grandsons, Dale Hanson, Wayne Hanson, Bradley Hanson, Kevin Hanson and Jeffery Hanson.

Burial was in Madison Township Cemetery, Forest City.

Florence Lillie Hanson Morris, the daughter of Roy and Ortincy (Stanley) Rhine, was born November 28, 1915, in Prescott. She attended school in Rake and graduated from Forest City High School in 1934.

December of 1935, she married Ernest Hanson in Mason City. The couple made their home north of Garner where they farmed.

June 15, 1964, she married Jack Morris in Sioux Falls, SD. They lived in Minneapolis, New Brighton, Mounds View and Blaine, MN, and then moved to Prairie View Apartments in Garner. After Jack died in 1988, Florence returned to Blaine in 1989.

She was a member of Cross of Glory Lutheran Church in Mounds View. MN. and a former member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Garner.

She is survived by her four sons, Arlo Hanson and his wife, Marilyn of Mason City, Ronald Hanson and his wife, Donna of Forest City, Carroll Hanson and his wife, Karen of Wichita, KS, and Joel Hanson and his wife, Brenda of Garner: two step- children, Glenice Schinnow an her husband, Robert of Ida Grove, and Gary Morris his wife, Marjorie of Forest City; 10 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; seven step grandchildren; six step great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Christine Rhine in Garner.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Morris, Mary 14, 1988; a son Gene Hanson in 1963; a grandson Todd Hanson; a step great-grandchild; parents; and a brother Harold Rhine.
