Delbert 'Bud' Faber

Funeral services for Delbert "Bud" Faber, 55, a hog buyer at the Forest City Cow Palace for the last 10 years, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the United Methodist Church, Forest City. He died Tuesday, June 1, at a Mason City hospital.

Born in Forest City, Mr. Faber was the son of Warner and Mildred Faber. He married Phyllis Olson in 1948. For many years he owned and operated a general trucking and corn sheller business and later hauled livestock for the Hormel buying station, Forest City.

The Rev. James Louk will officiate at the service and burial will be in Madison Township Cemetery, Forest City.

Survivors include his wife, Phyllis; three sons, Alan, Leland, James, Joice, and Douglas, Forest City; one grandson; two sisters, Mrs. Loren (Betty) Indvik and Mrs. Harry (Peggy) Tjelta, both of Forest City; and one brother, Donald, also of Forest City.
